Big one today. YourVids can now send notifications straight to your phone or computer, even when the site is closed. You can finally stop refreshing your dashboard every four minutes like it owes you money 😊
How to turn them on
Look for the "Turn on notifications" banner, or head to Settings and scroll to Notifications. Creators will find it in Headquarters, fans in their Account settings. Click Turn on notifications, say yes when your browser asks, and you're set.
Notifications are per device, so turn them on in every browser you use. Your laptop and your phone don't gossip with each other.
On iPhone or iPad, tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, open YourVids from your Home Screen, and turn notifications on from there. Apple insists on the extra step. We don't make the rules.
Creators, you'll know the moment:
• Someone buys a video, boutique item or bundle
• A fan sends you a tip
• A custom order comes in
• You get a new message
• A fan joins your YourFans
• Your content is approved or rejected
• A payout is on its way
Fans, you'll hear about:
• New videos, boutique items and bundles from your creators
• Messages from creators, and from other fans if you want those too
• YourFans members-only posts and channel posts
• Wishlist items that go on sale
• Updates on your custom orders
You stay in control
Every type of notification has its own switch, so keep what you love and silence the rest. Fans can also pick which creators can reach them about new content and mass messages: the ones you follow, your Your10, your YourFans creators, or creators you've bought from.
If you'd rather keep things discreet, turn off Show previews. Notifications will then just say something happened, with no names, amounts or message text on your lock screen. To quiet one chat without touching the rest, mute that conversation in Messenger.
