We’ve added new Messenger and search controls based on your feedback about inbox clutter and finding the videos you want.
Choose who can contact you
Members can go to Account Settings → Privacy → Messenger Privacy and turn off Allow messages from unfamiliar creators. Creator messages will then require a connection: following them, liking one of their videos, purchasing from them, or having messaged them yourself. Profile visits don’t count. This applies to personal messages and broadcasts; official team messages are unaffected.
Pin up to 3 conversations
Members and creators can now keep up to 3 conversations pinned at the top of their inbox. Open a conversation’s menu and choose Pin conversation. Your pinned chats stay at the top when new messages arrive. If you already have three pinned, choose Unpin conversation on one before pinning another. Pins are personal to your inbox, and Archive broadcasts leaves pinned chats in place.
Mute broadcasts from individual creators
Open a creator’s conversation menu and choose Mute broadcasts. Future broadcasts from that creator stop, your existing history stays, and personal messages can still arrive under your usual messaging settings. Members and creators can both use this. You can unmute whenever you like.
Recognize broadcasts and find personal conversations more easily
Broadcasts now have a clear Broadcast label, including in conversation previews. Personal conversations appear ahead of received broadcast-only chats.
Clean up your inbox
Messenger → Actions now includes:
• Mark all as read to clear your inbox’s unread messages across all pages.
• Archive broadcasts to move broadcast-only chats to Archived, while protecting creators with whom you have personal-message history in either direction.
Archiving deletes nothing. New broadcasts stay archived; a new personal message brings the conversation back to your inbox. You can also choose Move to inbox yourself. Archiving cleans up existing chats; muting stops future broadcasts.
Choose how your search tags work
On Vids and creator video pages:
• Match any shows videos with at least one selected tag, for broader browsing.
• Match all shows videos with every selected tag, for a more specific search.
Your selected mode stays in the page link, so you can return to or share the same search.
