I vacuum them one by one. First the sock in my hand — the hose grabs the fabric, pulls it tight, sucks the dust out of the toes. Then the sock still on my foot: suction on the sole, over the toes, around the ankle.
Close-ups of dirty soles through thin socks, the material stretching into the nozzle, the sound of the vacuum eating the fabric. Both socks end up on the floor and get cleaned like a rug before I feed them into the hose again.
