The Big Beautiful Experience - BBW Body Positivity
Laurina Lush and Miss Cameron Cabrel discuss their experience as BBW adult content creators - sharing information about body confidence/positivity and advice.
Tell us a bit about yourself!
Laurina Lush: "Hi, I’m Laurina Lush. I’m a content creator, co-host of the Dyrti Podcast, and a country girl at heart who creates content centered around confidence, authenticity, and embracing who you are. My goal is to help people feel seen while proving that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and stages of life."
Miss Cameron Cabrel: "My name is Miss Cameron Cabrel, and I'm a Femdom with intense focus in Chastity, Cuckolding, some Taboo, and Body Worship! I'm also a storyteller, so I'm very fond of my audio content."
As a BBW creator, do you feel like marketing or creating your content is different from the “standard process” in any way? If you do, can you elaborate on that?
Laurina Lush: "I think the biggest difference is learning to market confidence instead of comparison. Many creators feel pressure to fit a certain mold, but I’ve found that audiences connect most with authenticity. Rather than trying to change who I am, I’ve learned to embrace what makes me unique and build my brand around being relatable, confident, and approachable."
Miss Cameron Cabrel: "Yes. BBW is its own industry in itself: I find if I'm trying to put my content up on sites that feature more "traditional" bodies and "vanilla" content, I don't get as much traction. I even have to label my content that doesn't have to do with Body Worship in order to get eyes on it. There's obviously a market for BBW ladies (and gentleman!), but finding the right place to market niches as a thick creator can be difficult. In terms of creating content: I have to really focus on my outfits. As a Domme, I find clients more interested in bodysuits and more expensive looking lingerie as opposed to just bras and panties. I try to pay attention to angles that accentuate my figure, bringing out the BBW aspect."
Do you think that working in the adult industry has encouraged you to feel more body confident? If so, are there any specific moments that stood out to you?
Laurina Lush: "Absolutely. Before becoming a creator, I often focused on my flaws instead of my strengths. Over time, receiving genuine support from fans who appreciate me exactly as I am helped me realize that the things I was most critical of were often the things others found beautiful. That shift in perspective was incredibly empowering."
Miss Cameron Cabrel: "Yes and no. I'm a lot less worried about people seeing my legs and stomach, but I've also zeroed in on aspects that make me a little uncomfortable to look at on myself. I take epilepsy medication, which has me struggling a little with my weight, so it's not something I can just work out and fix. But I was SO SELF CONSCIOUS before entering the industry. I carry myself better now!"
Many new creators struggle with body confidence if they don’t fit what they believe is the stereotypical porn body type and can psych themselves out. What advice would you give to a creator that is struggling with their weight or body image?
Laurina Lush: "Remember that there is no single body type that defines beauty or success. Someone out there is looking for exactly what you bring to the table. Focus on creating content that makes you feel confident rather than content you think you’re supposed to make. Confidence is attractive, and authenticity will always outperform insecurity in the long run."
Miss Cameron Cabrel: "Look for clients in your niche. Don't compare yourself to a successful creator with an entirely different body type: it's a sure way to set yourself up for not feeling good enough, ever. When someone with a more "stereotypical" body treats you with respect and wants to work with you despite the difference, do it! You'll be shocked at the confidence you walk away from the experience with. And DO NOT let anyone tell you that there isn't a market for someone like you. Somewhere out there, you have a whole lot of people who think you're exactly their type."
The BBW niche tends to trend on porn sites (YourVids included) a lot. How do you label and market your content to stand out within the BBW niche?
Laurina Lush: "I focus on my personality just as much as my appearance. I market myself as a confident country girl with a playful, approachable style. Rather than relying solely on BBW tags, I highlight the overall experience of my content and the connection I build with my audience. I want people to remember Laurina, not just a category."
Miss Cameron Cabrel: "To be honest, I don't do anything special. I tag most of my content as BBW, and if there are tags in my niche that have BBW in them, I'll use those. (Example: BBW Body Worship, BBW Foot Fetish, BBW Femdom, etc.) I won't pretend I've shown up in a lot of trending stuff, though."
Did you always feel comfortable labeling yourself and your content as BBW or did you start doing it over time?
Laurina Lush: "I’ve always known I was a thick girl, and I’ve never felt the need to apologize for that. BBW is just one part of who I am, not the whole story. From the beginning, I focused on being myself instead of trying to fit a certain mold. The right fans appreciate confidence, personality, and authenticity just as much as appearance."
Miss Cameron Cabrel: "I did a lot of research when I first started and realized pretty quickly that I was going to have to use the BBW label. Which is fine! It made me feel a little weird at first, but I'm a BBW and I'm happy to acknowledge such now!"
What is something you wish every fan of BBW creators knew?
Laurina Lush: "We’re people first. While fans may discover us because of a particular niche, the strongest connections happen when they appreciate the person behind the content. Respect, kindness, and genuine support mean more than many people realize."
Miss Cameron Cabrel: "We may be "conventionally unattractive," (by "social standards") but not all of us are unhealthy. I would get a lot of comments about how fat isn't healthy and I'm "killing" myself, and how they can't support someone clearly sick (yes, even from people with BBW fetishes), yet all of my tests come back nearly perfect every time. We're here to entertain you and help you get your much coveted nut! You don't have to be ashamed!"
If you could go back in time and offer yourself advice on your first day as an adult performer, what would you tell yourself?
Laurina Lush: "Stop comparing yourself to everyone else. Focus on consistency, build your brand, and trust the process. Success rarely happens overnight, but every piece of content, every connection, and every lesson contributes to long-term growth."
Miss Cameron Cabrel: "NEVER. EVER. EVER. DO. ANYTHING. WITHOUT. PAYMENT!! There are FAR too many people willing to take advantage of the work you put in. Price yourself fairly for your effort, and don't give any of it out without getting paid. Also - the ones body shaming you are the ones who don't fit into your preferred clientele. Block, move on."
Do you have any routines, rituals, or habits that you do to encourage self-confidence and body positivity?
Laurina Lush: "I try to focus on gratitude instead of criticism. I remind myself that my body has carried me through every chapter of my life and deserves appreciation rather than constant judgment. I also surround myself with positive people, avoid unhealthy comparison, and celebrate small wins instead of waiting for perfection."
Miss Cameron Cabrel: "I drink a lot of soda, so I try to at least match the amount I drink with water. If I have 3 or 4 sodas in a day, I'm knocking back a liter and a half to two liters of water before bed. It keeps me from gaining too much weight, it keeps me hydrated, and I can look in a mirror and see reduced bloating, which makes me feel good. (All bodies are different - please don't go drinking a stupid amount of soda and try to offset it with water. It may have a different effect on you.) I also listen to a lot of positivity and manifestation affirmations while I sleep, and I'm a little kinder to myself when I'm awake now since I started. One day, I'd like to be in a good enough place to be in a group with other BBWs so we can all support each other. Oh, and ladies: skincare. A clean face is step one in feeling good."
Remember, self love is important!
