You were driving with your stepmom on a country road and accidentally missed the turn you needed to take. You found yourselves on an unfamiliar stretch of road. What could possibly go wrong? It was as if you’d entered an anomalous zone. The air conditioner suddenly stopped cooling the car, you ran out of water, one phone run out of power, and the other lost its GPS signal. Why did everything happen at once? A little while later, the car stalled too. You’re stuck in a place where there aren’t even any people or other cars, and you have no idea how to fix the car. And then there’s this exhausting heat, which makes it hard to think clearly and stay calm. You found a bottle with a couple of sips of water left, and that was a small comfort.
